INSIGHT
The Helen Clark Foundation is an independent public policy think tank from former Prime Minister of New Zealand, Helen Clark. The foundation aims to contribute to policy debates on how to achieve a more inclusive, fair and sustainable society.
We were approached by the foundation to overhaul and reconstruct their website with the primary goal being effectively conveying their message. Plus, it was important for the website to promote their fundraising and social causes as well as hosting research papers and documentation.

IDEA
The foundation came to us with a firm idea for the planning and wireframing already intact so this was more of an exercise in UI than UX. We spent time thinking about and working through how we could promote the media and documents to ensure the process would be user friendly for people to read and download the reports. Previously, the website had made this process difficult and users would encounter speed bumps along the way so we created a journey that was simple and efficient.
Incorporating community features was also vital to this website being a success. As a charity, the Helen Clark Foundation thrives on community engagement and involvement so we needed to create straightforward paths for people to sign up to become members or donate. This tied in to the importance of users being able to access documents and reports easily as being educated on the causes was crucial to the sign up process.
