Creating a leading digital experience for a stationery giant.
INSIGHT
Acme is the exclusive New Zealand importer and distributor of major international brands of superior quality office products and hand tools.
Acme approached us with a problem. Their website was outdated, sluggish, and difficult to navigate which made the digital buying process for their customers. Due to the poor user experience and limited functionality, many customers were diverting to making their orders over the phone which was putting significant pressure on the customer service team. We held workshops in order to gain a better understanding of the business itself, their customers, and their goals for the new website. From this we identified objectives including creating a richer digital customer experience to convert more sales on the digital platform, changing customer behaviour, and creating a website that is a complete repository of company information.

WEBSITE
IDEA
Our goal for this project was function over form, having clear product imagery, and enabling smooth and fast customer ordering.
Acme wanted to create a leading digital experience for their customers so we worked alongside them to redesign the end-to-end journey to create an effective eCommerce experience and ensure optimum usability and customer satisfaction.
We understood that site users were not traditional eCommerce consumers and we needed to optimise the experience for wholesale customers. We created a custom ‘multi-cart’ system which allowed enterprise customers to purchase for multiple accounts easily. We also developed a quick order system whereby customers could simply upload a CSV instead of having to manually shop through the entire website.

IMPACT
The overall success of the website encouraged Acme to digitise more of their processes. So far user feedback has included customers enjoying the fresh look and feel of the website, as well as the innovative quick reorder capability and multiple cart system. Ultimately, we were able to create a system that digitised this stationery giant.
